Why BrewNight?

Brewing is Magic slang for building a deck, and game night is where it gets played. The beer is optional.

Which formats can I build and test?

Commander, Standard, Modern, Pioneer and Pauper. Commander decks are 100 cards; the others are 60 or more, with up to 15 in the sideboard. Practice and Simulation run one game at a time. Best-of-three and sideboarding between games aren’t supported yet.

Can I bring my own deck?

Yes. Build a list, paste or import one, or copy any precon or shared deck and edit it. Supported partner commanders work too. BrewNight checks the deck’s size and whether Forge can play every card.

Do I need an account to scan?

No. Open Scan on your phone and point it at your cards, one at a time or several laid out together. You need an account to save what you scanned to your collection or a deck.

What does my collection track?

Each card, how many you own, their finish and which decks your copies are in. Condition isn’t tracked. Your decks, collection, notes and game history are private unless you choose to publish a deck.

How does the bracket analysis work?

For Commander decks, it checks Game Changers and matching two-card infinite combos to identify a minimum bracket. Your deck’s speed, consistency and intended play still matter. It helps you assess a deck; it does not award a definitive strength or tier rating.

How do Simulation and Practice differ?

Simulation runs repeated games with AI piloting every deck, rotating seats and reporting wins, draws, turns and uncertainty. In Practice, you pilot your deck against AI: up to three opponents in Commander, or one in other formats. Both use Forge’s rules engine and AI. It can miss lines and combos; results are testing evidence, not predictions of how your deck will perform with people.

Can I use this to get ready for game night?

Yes. Build and refine a list, test it with Simulation or Practice, then use your collection and missing-card shopping list to assemble the physical deck for your next game. Online multiplayer is a limited test available only to accounts enabled by the owner.

Does it work with ChatGPT or Claude?

Yes. Connect your assistant to BrewNight and approve what it can do. It can research cards, create and edit decks, manage your collection, or save proposals for your review. Existing connections need to reconnect to enable the new actions.

Can I buy a whole deck?

You can send a full deck list or missing-card list to TCGplayer, follow individual card links to supported marketplaces, or copy and export a shopping list for another shop. Choose printings, condition and finish, and complete your purchase at the retailer.

Bring the deck. Someone else can bring the beer.
